Tim Brown
Hailing from the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne in North East England, but now based in the Lake District National Park, Tim is a dedicated landscape photographer with a passion for capturing the fine art essence of everyday scenes. "My work is grounded in a deep reverence for the quiet, almost imperceptible moments that occur in the landscape. I focus on the subtleties of light, shadow and form, seeking to capture not just the physical landscape, but the fleeting emotions it evokes — the sense of stillness, the intimacy of nature's rhythms, and the delicate balance between presence and absence.”
By isolating these natural forms in a minimalist composition, I aim to evoke a meditative space where the viewer can connect with the landscape not just through sight, but through the quiet sensations that arise when we slow down and observe.
Through my work, I strive to strip away the noise of the everyday, allowing the viewer to experience nature in its most elemental form. These images are not just about capturing a place, but about allowing that place to speak — in whispers, in shadows and in the moments of stillness where time seems to pause.
“Art today is institutionalised narcissism , a conspiracy between creators and curators to make poor people feel stupid.” (Stephen Bayley).
