Sanitary ware added by my plumber Ben and the storage unit I asked for is almost done - I think my joiner Liam (Liam Skillen Joinery), has done a fab job of translating my idea into reality :-) The living room progress … I think the change to the wood tile in the living room rather than continuing the slate is going to work well? This is the step up into the living room I was speaking of in Blog Post 9 - I am super-happy with what my tilers Wayne & Keith (Wayne Johnston Tiling) have achieved here … they have totally nailed the slate / wood transition :-) There was some debate about which way the tiles should be laid - horizontal or vertical - the length of the living room is greater than the width so I think laying the tiles horizontally balances the room out? The tones in the exposed stone kind of mirror the tiles … So many sockets … the electrician’s mantra throughout the conversion has been better too many sockets / switches / downlights than too few :-) Tim Brown
